Immersive theatre producer DARKFIELD returns to Lincoln with its latest experience ARCADE, presented at The Lawn, as part of Frequency Festival – ARCADE starts today and runs until February 22.
Using the nostalgic aesthetic of 1980’s video games, ARCADE’s interactive narrative explores the evolving relationship between players and avatars.
“This choose-your-own-path experience will fully immerse players in alternate environments in a completely dark shipping container, using 360-degree binaural sound and sensory effects,” said a spokesperson for festival organisers Threshold.
“Players will be asked to address deep existential questions about free will and consciousness in a world where some may win, and some may lose.”
Shows are held every 45 minutes starting at 12.15pm and running until 8.45pm, but there will be late shows tonight, tomorrow and across next weekend.
Entry is FREE, but booking is essential through https://frequency.org.uk
The rest of Frequency Festival will take place between February 19 and 22 – see the Culture section of this website.
